FGD Piping & Equipments

FGD piping and equipments

Overview

A FGD chimney is a chimney or stack that’s part of a Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD) system. FGD is a technology that removes sulfur dioxide (SO2) from flue gases produced when fossil fuels are burned. When coal, oil, or gas is burned, it releases gases containing harmful pollutants, including Sulfur Dioxide. FGD systems are installed to reduce the emissions of SO2, which is a major contributor to air pollution and cause of acid rain.

GRP chimney solved this problem perfectly, GRP chimney has a light weight, high strength, good corrosion resistance, thermal insulation, short construction period and long life. It can withstand instantaneous high temperature, and it can be designed into a variety of shapes.

Benefits:

  • Significant reduction in sulfur dioxide emissions, thereby minimizing acid rain and related

environmental impacts.

  • Effective in controlling other pollutants, contributing to improved air quality.
  • Allows for the recovery and reuse of valuable by-products, reducing waste and promoting sustainability.
  • Proven technology with a long track record of successful implementation.
